Gentle Exfoliating to Deep Penetrating Peels - Designed to Fit Your Needs

Erase fine lines, wrinkles and sun damage on your skin with the targeted strength of a chemical peel. Light, medium and even deep layers of skin can be peeled to a smooth finish, rejuvenating skin tone and reducing the signs of aging. Peels offer help to:
  • Smooth fine lines and wrinkles.
  • Repair sun damage.
  • Even skin tone.
  • Tighten and firm the skin.
  • Freshen, firm and rejuvenate tired, aging skin.
  • Minimize scarring and blemishes.
  • Peel away age spots and some pre-cancerous skin cells.

Lunch Hour Solutions

Glycolic Acid, Jessner's Peels and Salicylic Acid Peels are the newest gentle "lunch hour" peels for reversing the effects of aging and the environment on your skin. All of these mini peels offer immediate results and little to no down time. For best results, these procedures should be repeated at regular intervals.
  • Glycolic Peels, also known as alphahydroxy (AHA) peels, use a light chemical solution derived from fruit acids. This peel gently exfoliates the skin to remove dead skin cells and refreshen the complexion. It helps to minimize fine lines and wrinkles and evens out a blotchy skin tone. In some patients, glycolic peels aid in the treatment of acne.

Glycolic acid can be applied in a short treatment session and normal activities can be resumed immediately with little redness or discomfort. Makeup can be worn the day after treatment and effects are immediate. The skin looks and feels softer and more refreshed.

  • Jessner's Peel combines several gentle, but powerful peeling agents including resorcinol, lactic acid (an alphahydroxy agent) and salicylic acid, resulting in a deeper mini peel. While this combination of ingredients penetrates more deeply into the epidermal layers of the skin, it is gentler than traditional chemical peels. As a result, there is no downtime and most patients are able to return to normal activities after treatment.

  • Salicylic acid peels use beta hydroxy acid, a derivative of aspirin. This peel penetrates the top layer of the skin, loosening the dean skin cells by dissolving the bonds that hold them together. Dull, sun damaged skin cells are shed, revealing a smooth, glowing new complexion. Salicylic acid is suitable for all skin types. It is an ideal treatment for pigmentation problems in the skin, including hard to treat melasma which often effects women during pregnancy or while taking certain medications. It can also even skin tone for patients with age spots or uneven, weathered skin. This gentle peel takes only minutes in the office. Patients resume normal activities right away - with the added bonus of smoother, fresher looking skin.

  • Vitalize Peels are the newest lunch hour peel. Featured on popular shows such as Oprah, this peel uses the combination of proven anti-aging agents and AHA's in a uniquely blended formula. Diminish fine lines and wrinkles, even skin tone and improve the texture of any skin type. Like other mini peels, treatment is done in minutes in the office. Patients get right back to normal daily activities with a new glow.

A Deeper Approach

Traditional peels using stronger agents such as TCA (trichloroacetic acid) and phenol penetrate beneath the surface of the skin, removing layers of sun-damage. The peels are used to erase deeper wrinkles and discoloration, and even remove age spots and pre-cancerous skin cells. Scars from acne can also be minimized using deeper peels. Still done in the office, these peels require more time to heal. The face is red for days, even weeks after treatment. For best results, more than one treatment may be necessary. Results can be dramatic, as these procedures penetrate deep into the sun-damaged layers of the skin.
