• Glycolic Peels, also known as alphahydroxy (AHA) peels, use a light chemical solution derived from fruit acids. In some patients, glycolic peels aid in the treatment of acne.

A Deeper Approach

Traditional peels using stronger agents such as TCA (trichloroacetic acid) and phenol penetrate beneath the surface of the skin, removing layers of sun-damage. The peels are used to erase deeper wrinkles and discoloration, and even remove age spots and pre-cancerous skin cells. Scars from acne can also be minimized using deeper peels.
